I discovered the joy of writing in junior high school. I loved keeping journals, where I could give the wings of my imagination room to fly. I finished my first full-length novel when I was sixteen, even though it was so atrocious that I never did anything with it.

After stepping away from the hobby for several years, I picked it up again in 2012 when I returned to college. I earned my first publishing credit with the student literary magazine, The Creative Quill, in 2014 with a short story called “Trick or Treat.”

Now, in addition to my full-time day job, I have once again given wings to my imagination. And am realizing a dream I hadn’t realized I’d been harboring, by having one of my stories accepted by a publisher.
